PAKISTAN ECONOMY
The World Bank considers Pakistan a low-income country. No more than 49.9% of adults are literate, and life expectancy is about 63 years. The population, currently about 167 million, is growing at 1.81% annually.
In 2000, the government made significant macroeconomic reforms: Privatizing Pakistan's state-subsidized utilities, reforming the banking sector, instituting a world-class anti-money laundering law, cracking down on piracy of intellectual property, and moving to quickly resolving investor disputes. After September 11, 2001, and Pakistan's proclaimed commitment to fighting terror, many international sanctions, particularly those imposed by the United States, were lifted. Pakistan's economic prospects began to increase significantly due to unprecedented inflows of foreign assistance at the end of 2001. This trend is expected to continue through 2009. Foreign exchange reserves and exports grew to record levels after a sharp decline. The International Monetary Fund lauded Pakistan for its commitment in meeting lender requirements for a $1.3 billion IMF Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility loan, which it completed in 2004, forgoing the final permitted tranche. The Government of Pakistan has been successful in issuing sovereign bonds, and has issued $600 million in Islamic bonds, putting Pakistan back on the investment map. Pakistan's search for additional foreign direct investment has been hampered by concerns about the security situation, domestic and regional political uncertainties, and questions about judicial transparency.
On October 8, 2005 a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani-administered Kashmir, and approximately 60 miles north-northeast of Islamabad. An estimated 75,000 people were killed and 2.5 million people were left homeless. The disaster of such a huge magnitude galvanized an international rescue and reconstruction effort in support of the affected region. The earthquake cost Pakistan $1.1 billion in resettling those affected.
U.S. assistance has played a key role in moving Pakistan's economy from the brink of collapse to setting record high levels of foreign reserves and exports, dramatically lowering levels of solid debt. Also, despite the earthquake in 2005, GDP growth remained strong at 6.6% in fiscal year 2005/2006. In 2002, the United States led Paris Club efforts to reschedule Pakistan's debt on generous terms, and in April 2003 the United States reduced Pakistan's bilateral official debt by $1 billion. In 2004, approximately $500 million more in bilateral debt was granted. Consumer price inflation eased slightly to an average of 8% in 2005/2006 from 9.3% in 2004/2005.

The trends of resources being devoted to socioeconomic development and infrastructure projects have been improving since 2002, although expenditures remain below global averages. A Nuclear Hedge Against Aliens
Abolition is a bad idea. Keeping our nukes up to date is a very good idea.
The system is nowhere near prepared or integrated enough to abolish nuclear weapons, and even if it was, I'd keep them on the sheer assumption that not everybody and everything I might meet in space someday is going to like me.
Aliens aside, I don't understand why Obama would waste any political capital on nuclear abolition. It will never happen. That ship sailed decades ago. Nor should it happen. The U.S. could definitely stand to trim her supply of nukes, but should always keep a sufficient number on hand to credibly threaten any nuclear adversary

Imagine that you run an art gallery and you want to use a QuickBase application to keep track of all your art works. You create a table called Works and begin to enter information on your pieces. You soon find that you have multiple works by the same artist and are forced to type the same name over and over. To make matters worse, every artist has contact information that you must have on hand. Are you really going to clutter up your Works records with the artist's address and telephone number too? There must be a better way! In fact, there is. The solution is to create a special table to hold information on all your artists and create a relationship between the Artists and Works tables. Doing so makes life much easier. This approach lets you create a lookup list on your Works form, which displays all records in the Artists table. Instead of typing the same information over and over, just select an artist from the list each time.

A relationship is a link between two tables. When you create a relationship, you’re telling QuickBase to connect a single record in one table to one or many records in another table. (You'll read about the nuts and bolts that hold them together in minute.) What a relationship does is save space and effort. You don't need to enter extra info about the artist in the Works table, because Works can reference the relevant artist record in the Artists table. That way, each table concentrates on what it does best.

FIND TRUE LOVE
What is true love and how do you know when you have found it?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.
This verse describes the characteristics of true love. These qualities can certainly be found in the person of Jesus Christ, and they can be found in all truly loving relationships. The problem with trying to “find” love in our dating lives, is that too often we don't look for these characteristics. Rather we look at physical appearance, popularity, or wealth. These are not the qualities that God looks at and neither should we.
But the LORD said to Samuel, “…The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action—true love.
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with ACTIONS and in truth.
Christ was devoted to us enough to give his own life for us (Romans 5:8), even when he didn't feel like It.
Sex is not love! Our culture has taught us that sex and love are one in the same. This is a lie. Sex is a beautiful God-given activity that is wonderful when practiced within the boundaries of a Biblical marriage. Sex is the completion of the binding of two people within Biblical marriage; it is a God-given gift.
